More information about 2017 General Meeting of Shareholders

Those wishing to attend the General Meeting of Shareholders in person may do so at the Palacio de Congresos de Valencia. A press room has been set up for the occasion with audio, ISDN, ADSL and WiFi connections and screens, and a specific zone has been reserved for the media in the auditorium itself.

The General Meeting of Shareholders may also be followed, in full, online through the Bankia YouTube channel  or via https://www.bankia.com/en/

An informative lunch will be held in Valencia, attended by the chairman and chief executive officer of Bankia, the day before the General Meeting. This informal gathering, for which there will be no audiovisual recording, will take place at the Bankia Fintech headquarters in Valencia, at Base 2 in the Marina Real, which was used by Team Germany in the America’s Cup. The building will be open to the media from 1:30 pm and lunch will be served at 2:00 pm.

For organisational reasons, only one journalist per media outlet may attend. Attendance must be confirmed before 12:00 noon on 21 March.

Please confirm your attendance at the General Meeting and the previous day's lunch via the e-mail address below, providing your identity document number, contact telephone and e-mail, and specifying which event you will be attending (General Meeting, lunch or both):

Considerations for the General Meeting of Shareholders

To facilitate the work of the press, here are a few points to bear in mind for the General Meeting of Shareholders:

  • Accreditation: There will be an entrance exclusively for the press.
  • Parking for mobile units: The outdoor parking facility has an area reserved for mobile units.
  • Photography: Photographers will be allowed into the main hall, in front of the stage, prior to the start of the General Meeting. This area must be cleared once the meeting begins, although photographers may continue to work from the press area set up in the auditorium (zoom lens recommended).
  • Television: A live feed of the meeting will be provided for those media that wish to use it. Television cameras will also have a designated area in the main auditorium.
