Since the impact of the coronavirus began to decrease among the population of Spain, the country has entered a phase of de-escalation that will lead to a new normality in which we will have to continue to take safety measures in our social and labour relations.

It is expected that in this new stage the number of visits to bank branches will increase, although it will not reach levels prior to the crisis caused by the expansion of COVID-19, nor will it be as small as in the worst moments of the pandemic, during which banking services were considered essential for carrying out specific processes that could not be done through digital channels.

To ensure the health of professionals and employees and following the recommendations of the health authorities, Bankia has adapted its branches and has provided them with specific signage to allow easy identification of access and waiting areas, the number of people allowed in each space and the separation between them.

How has Bankia adapted its branches to the new normality?

Limitation of capacity: a sign has been placed outside the branches, indicating the permitted capacity to comply with the distancing measures. To control capacity, a system of entry by turn is used.

Screens: all customer service desks have screens to preserve safety during commercial transactions with customers.

Screens

Safety distance: signs that mark the safety distance of two metres between one person and another have been placed on the floors in branches.

Commercial signage totems adapted with the new signage: the branches have added the new signage to the informative totems that they already had. In this way, they remind customers of the safety measures that they must adopt when accessing the inside of the branch..

Totem with glove and hydroalcoholic gel dispenser: a glove and hydroalcoholic gel dispenser has also been installed at branches, especially recommended if any device for signing documents is to be used, and it includes a waste basket for PPE waste.
