  • The agreement will allow the implementation of the 'Intervention Service for Families and Students (SIFA)' and the project 'Multi-task Cooperative Classrooms 3.0'

Bankia allocates 50,000 euros to the Padre Piquer Training Centre, with the aim of launching two training programs in 2019: 'Intervention Service for Families and Students (SIFA)' and 'Multitask Cooperative Classrooms 3.0 (ACM 3.0.)'.

The agreement was signed at a ceremony held at the headquarters of the Padre Piquer Training Centre by the director, Luis Alberto Rodríguez de Rivera; by Bankia's director of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), David Menéndez, and Carlos Martín Zonas manager of Bankia's Plaza Castilla Area.

"Both institutions, with a clear goal of social improvement in mind, have decided to continue hand in hand in this beautiful path, focusing their efforts on the students of the Padre Piquer Training Centre," said Luis Alberto Rodríguez de Rivera.

For his part, David Menéndez underlined "Bankia's commitment to a reference training centre". "The agreement continues these projects, also demonstrating the desire of both parties to continue to advance and grow along this line that began years ago, with a clear goal of social promotion and equal opportunities".

The collaboration framework allows Padre Piquer, with the support of Bankia, to continue developing the projects in which the entity has placed its trust for years. The collaboration dates back to 2013, when the financial institution started to support the ICDM. In 2014, collaboration with the ACM 3.0 project started.

During all these years, Piquer has successfully carried out both projects with the integration of students in the centre and its academic curriculum.

The Intervention Service for Families and Students (SIFA) seeks comprehensive development of students, taking into account their personal and family circumstances, deepening and reinforcing values, along with their families and the teaching staff, to address the problems that arise in this context and ensuring personal growth.

The project 'Multitask Cooperative Classrooms 3.0 (ACM 3.0.)' is another step in the Multitask Cooperative Classrooms project, introducing new technologies to the cooperative education method that characterises Padre Piquer and which has positioned the school as one of the pioneer centres in Spain in the application of this methodology, where student learning becomes creative, motivating and responsible.
