Bankia and the Fundación Ávila present a new edition of the 'Musicales' series

These concerts are a sign of Bankia's commitment to music, culture and Ávila, pointed out Óscar Pérez Blázquez, Bankia’s Area Director of Ávila Centre North.

Bankia and the Fundación Ávila presented a new edition of the 'Musicales' series on Wednesday, which will take place between 30 January and 16 April. This edition consists of four concerts and a grand final chamber music concert.

'Musicales 2020' was presented at the Los Serrano Palace, headquarters of the Fundación Ávila, whose vice president, Luis Sánchez, highlighted “the quality of the performers”, as well as “the variety of pieces they will play”.

For his part, Bankia’s Area Director of Ávila Centre North, Óscar Pérez Blázquez, pointed out that “supporting these concerts yet another year is a sign of Bankia's commitment to music, culture and Ávila, a city that is part of our DNA and essential for the bank".  The coordinator of Musicales 2020, Manuel Tevar, also participated in the event.

The series will consist of clarinet and piano recitals, fusison and flamenco and poetry and a concert on the occasion of Beethoven's 250th anniversary and the grand closing concert. All of them will take place at 8 pm at the Fundación Ávila Auditorium and will be coordinated by Manuel Tevar.

The tickets, 5 euros for adults and free for children, can be purchased in advance at the Los Serrano Palace, as well as at the auditorium one hour before each performance.

30 January | RECITAL DE CLARINETE Y PIANO

  • Works by Debussy, Poulenc, Sancan, Montsalvatge, Arnold and Schumann.
  • French Connection.
  • Alberto Veintimilla (clarinet) and Antonio Soria (piano).

27 February | FUSSION FLAMENCO RECITAL

  • Flamenco, classics and other influences.
  • Lorenzo Moya - Flamenco Trío.
  • Kostan González (electric bass), Bandolero (drawer and percussion) and Lorenzo Moya (piano).

12 March | POETRY RECITAL LOVE IN WORDS

  • Works by Schumann, Paderewski, Gall, Chopin, Karłowicz, by Curtis,
  • Denza, Tagliaferri and Sorozabal..
