Bankia and the CajaGranada Foundation launch the call 'We help those who help' to support social projects in Andalucía for 250,000 euros

This call, in its first edition, allowed the support of 60 projects that have benefited more than 9,700 people in vulnerable situations.

Bankia and CajaGranada Fundación have launched for the second consecutive year the call 'We help those who help', endowed with 250,000 euros, to support social projects in the provinces of Granada, Jaén, Málaga and Almería.

The impulse of Bankia and CajaGranada Foundation to this call has allowed to increase the aid allocated to NGOs by almost 40,000 euros, 18% more, than last year’s edition.

This joint initiative is aimed at non-profit organisations that carry out their activity in the provinces of Granada, Jaén, Málaga and Almería and whose projects are focused on training and guidance aimed at employment, rural development or improvement of the quality of life of people with disabilities or other groups at risk of social exclusion.

The call will support projects for a minimum amount of 2,000 euros and a maximum of 8,000.

Applicant entities can register through the CajaGranada Foundation website and the Bankia website and submit their application online. The period for submitting projects starts today and ends on March 29.

The entities and projects selected in 'We help those who help 2019' will be announced at the beginning of June.

In 2018, this call allowed the execution of 60 projects that have benefited more than 9,700 people in vulnerable situations.

Its main project, the Cultural Centre Memory of Andalucía, celebrates 10 years of activity at the service of citizens. An event that the CajaGranada Foundation celebrates in 2019 with a complete list of activities. The Foundation’s social media presence has increased since the launch of the free financial education app that now has over 63,000 subscribers thus reaching a significant percentage of Andalucían citizens.
