  • Following last year’s success, the second National Red Meeting in Spain will be held on Wednesday 6 November in the Auditorium at Torre Bankia in Madrid.
  • The event, hosted by Bankia and the cybersecurity firm Entelgy Innotec Security, will be attended by leading advanced intrusion experts who will share their knowledge and experience and demonstrate best cybersecurity practices to participants.

Off the back of the success of the first edition held last year, Bankia and Entelgy Innotec Security have announced the Second National Red Team Meeting, which will take place on 6 November in the Auditorium at Torre Bankia in Madrid.

The event will look at new attack vectors and the latest developments in persistence techniques, privilege escalation and so forth. It will also focus on cybersecurity process enhancements and methodology developments, and improvements in the detection capabilities of defence teams, as well as specific tools for automating/optimising outcomes.

“A Red Team is an essential link in the cybersecurity chain as it provides information on real and tested threats. Along with the Blue Team, it comprises an effective tool for preparing tailor-made mitigation enhancements,” says Damián Ruiz, Bankia’s Red Team Manager.

Ruiz adds that “this continuous evaluation and mitigation process enables useful information to be gathered efficiently on the status of our protection, detection and response capabilities”.

“Given the current climate with a significant increase in the number of cyberthreats and the speed at which these are changing, with all types of organisations under attack, there is a clear need for every company, whatever its size, to exhaustively test and assess its protection systems and do so on an ongoing basis”, explains Félix Muñoz, Entelgy Innotec Security General Manager.

Under these premises, the need to hold this second edition of the National Red Team Meeting arose. The event provides a unique space for cybersecurity experts to demonstrate best cybersecurity practices to participants and share their knowledge and experience on Red Team success stories, operating models and organisational aspects.
