Bankia and Fundación Cajamurcia have launched the ‘2019 Call for Social Action Aid’, funded with 200,000 euros, to support social projects in the Region of Murcia.

The initiative is aimed at non-profit organisations that operate in the Region of Murcia and whose projects are aimed at training and guidance aimed at employment, rural development or, most especially, improving the quality of life of people with disabilities or other groups at risk of social exclusion.

The ‘2019 Call for Social Action Aid’, which is part of the cooperation agreement signed by Bankia and Fundación Cajamurcia for Social Action in the Region of Murcia, will support projects with a minimum amount of 2,000 euros and a maximum amount of 12,000 euros.

Applicant entities can register through the Fundación Cajamurcia and Bankia websites, that have been enabled for online submission of applications. The deadline for submission of projects ends on 25 April.

The entities and projects selected in the ‘2019 Call for Social Action’ will be announced in June.

Bankia consolidates and reinforces its commitment to society through five priority lines of social action: employment and training, housing, local and rural development, disability and the environment. The financial institution focuses its social investment on these areas and maintains its commitment to society through the involvement of its entire structure and professionals. The Corporate Social Responsibility policy is all-encompassing and approachable, as it links the social actions of the bank with its business in the areas in which the professionals themselves find socio-economic problems and vulnerable groups.

Fundación Cajamurcia

Fundación Cajamurcia is deeply committed to the Murcia Region, where it plays an active role in initiatives aimed at fostering social and cultural development. Its two main objectives are to foster actions that are clearly beneficial to society, particularly those that assist vulnerable groups (elderly people and people with disabilities, children, low-income families, immigrants...) and which support initiatives that further social and economic development, primarily projects in the areas of art, culture, education and research, and recovery of historic and natural heritage.
