Bankia mobile offices service 250,000 people in 373 municipalities at risk of financial exclusion

The bank has a fleet of a dozen mobile branches that serve in locations that do not have offices, in which some 220,000 operations are carried out annually.

  • A total of 12 mobile offices allow users, whether or not they are clients of the entity, to perform the usual operations of an office such as withdrawing cash, making deposits, paying receipts and taxes.
  • Mobile offices travel almost 43,000 kilometers per month and provide service in six autonomous communities after the incorporation of Andalucía to the route.

Bankia's mobile offices allow users, whether or not they are clients of the entity, to carry out the usual operations of an office and service 250,000 people living in 373 small municipalities at risk of financial exclusion from six autonomous communities.

Mobile offices travel almost 43,000 kilometers per month and operate in the provinces of Madrid, Valencia, Castellón, Ávila, Segovia, La Rioja, Ciudad Real and Granada, after adding Andalusia to the route last April.

This service by Bankia gives the possibility of withdrawing cash, making deposits or paying receipts and taxes to 250,000 people -according to the data of the National Statistics Institute (INE)- living in these locations at risk of financial exclusion.

On average, about 220,000 operations are carried out annually in these mobile offices that are operational from 8 am to 6 pm, Monday to Thursday, and 8 am to 3 pm on Fridays.

Bankia has five mobile offices in Castilla y León, two in Comunidad Valenciana and La Rioja, and one in Comunidad de Madrid, Castilla-La Mancha and Andalucía.

In Segovia, Bankia’s mobile offices serve a total of 91 towns and cover an average 7,000 kilometres and, in Ávila, they cover 73 towns with a 7,200-kilometre route.

In Valencia, mobile offices serve 35 towns and cover 4,000 kilometres every month and, in Castellón, they serve a further 35 towns and have a route covering 5,000 kilometres.

In La Rioja, the bank’s two ofibuses cover 8,300 kilometres every month to give coverage to 57 towns. The Madrid ofibus enables residents in 37 municipal areas to do their banking by travelling a 3,100 route, while in Ciudad Real the bus travels 5,000 kilometres to serve 13 towns.

The bus added to the Granada route provides service in 32 locations at risk of financial exclusion on a route of 3,000 kilometers per month.

In addition, Bankia’s mobile offices offer coverage in cultural and sporting events such as the Madrid Book Fair and the Motorcycle World Grand Prix held in Cheste (Valencia).
