The Bankia Foundation for Dual Training, the Department of Education of the Generalitat of Cataluña and the Chamber of Commerce of Barcelona all took part in the closing ceremony and presentation of diplomas for the Ditec digital skills course, which began last November and included the participation of 31 students and teachers from a dozen Catalan educational centres.

Attendees received a total of 150 training hours - 116 on-site and 34 on-line - during which they learned digital language, entrepreneurship, project management, programming, cybersecurity and digital marketing.

The course was conducted within the agreement signed by the Bankia Foundation for Dual Training with the Department of Education of the Generalitat.

The commercial manager of the regional division of Bankia Cataluña, Meritxell Sánchez Martí, underlined “the commitment of Dualiza Bankia with the promotion of education and with Catalonia where we have already promoted foreign trade courses, digital skills, tutor training workshops and where four projects of Catalan centres have been chosen in the Dualiza Aid Scheme”.

Martí added that “all of this reflects the willingness of the Bankia Foundation for Dual Training and its Dualiza Bankia brand to continue contributing to the promotion of vocational training as a way to improve the employability of students, the competitiveness of companies and, in definitive, the future of our country”.

The event was also attended by the deputy director general of programmes and projects of the Department of Education of the Generalitat, José Antonio Andrés, and the head of training of the Chamber of Commerce, Emma Colis.

The participants come from the centres: Institut de Badia del Vallès (Badia del Vallès); from Jaume Balmes, Joan d´Àustria, Poblenou (Barcelona); Carles Vallbona (Granollers); Provençana (Hospitalet de Llobregat); Escola Pia de Mataró (Mataró); La Ferreria (Montcada i Reixac); and Nicolau Copèrnic (Terrassa).
