Bankia Fintech by Innsomnia, the first fintech collaborative accelerator in Spain, has launched its fifth call for proposals, which aims to attract startups or entrepreneurs who can provide solutions and value to customers of the bank.

The deadline for submitting proposals will be open until 15 October on the website www.innsomnia.es and also at www.bankiafintech.com.

This edition seeks solutions, projects and ideas from emerging companies, entrepreneurs and consolidated companies that can provide solutions and value mainly in one of the following fields: blockchain, IA-ML, cybersecurity and fraud prevention, wealth management (asset management and investment), alternative credit scoring, payment methods, algorithmic trading, solutions for companies, solutions for self-employed people and freelancers, cryptocurrencies, financing solutions, neo-banking, banking as a service, regtech, proptech, insurtech, legaltech and customer relationships.

The selected companies will have the opportunity to work for a period of seven months, which is the expected duration of the program, with the Bankia innovation team and the experts and mentors from Innsomnia to develop and improve their project.

Bankia Fintech’s philosophy is based on open innovation and collaboration between the parties, which means that selected startups are not required to hold equity. The ultimate goal is to reach a commercial agreement, only if both parties so wish, so that the bank becomes the first major customer of these companies.

In the four previous calls for proposals carried out by Bankia Fintech by Innsomnia, more than 300 company applications were received. Of these, more than 50 projects have been accelerated, 20% of which came from abroad. Of the accelerated companies, more than 60% have signed some type of agreement with the bank.
