  • The three entities have signed an agreement aimed at promoting dual vocational training in the region
  • The dual vocational training course in textiles is the first action of the agreement

The first dual textile and fashion vocational training course in Albacete started thanks to the agreement signed by the Bankia Foundation for Dual Training (through its Dualiza Bankia brand, through which it channels all activities to promote vocational training), the Regional Government of Castilla la Mancha and the Confederation of Entrepreneurs of Albacete (FEDA).

Fourteen students from the IES Albacete Labour University, from the intermediate Dressmaking and Fashion degree, will receive 80 hours of training in March. Four of them will undergo 600 hours of internship until July in companies in the area, such as Lillotex, Vestimenta de Hombre, Eurotextil Hellín or Serbus Collection.

The head of projects of the Bankia Foundation, Juan Carlos Lauder, underlined "the importance of projects like this one, which foster collaboration between all social agents to move closer to one of the main objectives of Dualiza Bankia, improve student employability and the competitiveness of companies, through the promotion of high-quality vocational training".

For his part, the Regional Minister of Education, Culture and Sports of Castilla la Mancha, Ángel Felpeto, explained that this agreement is the first Dual Vocational Training project carried out in the textile, sewing and leather industry.

He also highlighted Bankia Foundation's support for education in the region, as well as the determination of the FEDA business association and ASECAB to engage the participating companies, as well as the collaboration of ADECA and ADEPRO. "Since, thanks to all of them”, Felpeto stated, “the DITEC and COMEX projects have been successfully carried out."

Dualiza Bankia, Bankia’s dual training initiative

Dualiza Bankia is the brand through which the Bankia Foundation for Dual Training carries out all of its promotion and prestige activities regarding vocational training and dual vocational training, keeping in mind that it improves the employability of students and the competitiveness of companies.
