“We have a market share of 46%. All this makes me very proud, but it also gives me a great responsibility”, acknowledged Goirigolzarri.

The chairman of the FES, Andrés Ortega, recalled in the presence of Goirigolzarri ‘Project Segovia 25/250’, under which the Association aims to contribute to the growth of the number of companies in the province by supporting the setting up of 250 new business by 2025, through attracting productive investment. “It is fundamental to have Bankia’s support, enthusiasm and backing for this project”, he pointed out.

“We are convinced that in this region there is potential, talent and opportunity, and we want to work at making this real and at contributing to social and economic development, the generation of wealth and creating jobs. In short, we want to invest in Segovia, we want our belief in Segovia as an open and profitable region for business to be a common goal and driving force for all of us: business organizations, public authorities, financial entities and universities”, explained the chairman of the FES.

In this regard, Goirigolzarri recalled that Bankia has made “all our financial capacity” available for entrepreneurs and individuals in Segovia, in addition to 48 branch offices and over 200 employees who “should work with the unswerving goal of providing an excellent service”.

The chairman of Bankia also announced that over the first seven months of the year the bank increased new financing for companies by 58%. “We want this relationship to keep growing in the future”, he declared.

Goirigolzarri also told the entrepreneurs that “2018 is a key year in the history of Bankia because in 2017 we finalized our restructuring plan and set out on a new stage in our project”. He highlighted the fact that “the transformation of Bankia was based on three major mainstays: the importance of corporate governance, our principles and values, and the Bankia team”.

“For this new stage in our growth we have drawn up the strategic plan for 2018-2020. This is our road map for the next three years. Our goal is to become the best bank in Spain”, he stated.
