  • The Board of Trustees of the Bankia Foundation recognises with this appointment the work carried out over the last year by Lauder, who has been in charge of project management
  • In 2018 alone, projects initiated by the Bankia Foundation benefited 4,183 students, 241 companies and 106 educational centres

The Board of Trustees of the Bankia Foundation for Dual Training appointed Juan Carlos Lauder as director of the entity, after having been in charge of the foundation during the last year as project manager.

With this decision, the Board rewards the work carried out by Lauder and expresses its decision to give continuity to the project and to the path undertaken in this last stage.

Lauder has expressed his satisfaction with an appointment that represents "the recognition of the work carried out by the entire team of the Foundation" and has indicated his intention to continue increasing the activities carried out, with the aim of "providing Vocational Training with the social recognition it deserves".

A task for which, he stated, "the alliance we once established with FPempresa and which is one of the pillars of the Bankia Foundation for Dual Training" is fundamental.

"We want to continue working with them because they allow us to reach more teachers, learn more about schools and promote more training projects. And we want to continue to act as a bridge between these schools and companies, so that all this knowledge is put at the service of the job market, facilitating the profiles demanded by companies, helping them to be more competitive, improving the employability of students and contributing, therefore, to foster greater social cohesion ", said the new director of the Foundation.

Juan Carlos Lauder has a degree in Sociology from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, a master's degree in Human Resource Management and additional training in foundation administration.

He has spent most of her professional career in the banking industry. In 2016, he joined the Bankia Foundation for Dual Training as Project Manager, a position he has held until his current appointment. During this period, the Foundation has extended its commitment to training and boosting vocational training to reach the entire country.

In 2018 alone, the projects started by the Bankia Foundation benefited 4,183 students, 241 companies and 106 educational centres through its different activities. Notable among these is the Dualiza Call for Aid and FPEmpresa, which has sponsored almost a hundred projects in innovative and sustainable vocational training centres with an impact on the society in which they operate. The Bankia Foundation also continues to provide additional training in foreign trade and digital skills to students throughout Spain, with its Comex and Ditec programs, and bringing the world of vocational training closer to biomedical and clinical research with its SANEC program.

Bankia Foundation for Dual Training

The Bankia Foundation for Dual Training was set up in 2016 as part of Bankia’s commitment to promoting education as a means of increasing social cohesion and reducing inequality. This commitment is expressed through support to dual vocational training to drive employability and innovation in the labour market, improving the competitiveness of companies and speeding up the transformation of the education system by continuously updating to meet the requirements of the new economy and of companies.

The bank channels this objective through Dualiza, a program for the promotion, awareness and dissemination of Dual Vocational Training.
