  • The meeting was organized by Dualiza Bankia -the brand through which the Bankia Foundation for Dual Training channels all its activities to promote vocational training-, the FPempresa association and the Regional Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports of Castilla La Mancha.
  • The meeting focused on the promotion of dual vocational training in the agricultural, livestock, industrial, food, computer and renewable energy sectors.

Nearly 80 participants took part in the first Dualiza Meeting held in Albacete by Dualiza Bankia and FP Empresa in collaboration with the regional ministries of Education, Culture and Sports and Agriculture, Environment and Rural Development of Castilla la Mancha, to analyse the current status of Vocational Training and its dual modality in the region and find ways to promote it, as well as to foster relations between schools and companies.

The meeting has focused on the agricultural, livestock, industrial, food, computer and renewable energy sectors. All of these are key to the development of the region and to the future of employment.

The head of projects of the Bankia Foundation for Dual Training, Juan Carlos Lauder, underlined "the importance of events like this one to help foster relations between schools and companies, which contribute to training future professionals who respond to the needs of the job market of tomorrow". He recalled that "this is one of the main objectives of the activity that Dualiza Bankia, Bankia Foundation’s brand for Dual Training, is developing in Castilla-La Mancha, where it has already started up complementary training courses in foreign trade and digital skills along with supporting the projects of various vocational training centres through the Dualiza Call for Aid".

For his part, the Regional Minister of Education, Culture and Sports, Ángel Felpeto, stressed that collaboration between companies and schools is essential to develop projects that improve the qualification of students and their integration into the job market, thus favouring specialization tailored to the profile required by businesses.

"In the province of Albacete there are many Dual Vocational Training projects thanks to the involvement of schools, the vocational training staff of the Provincial Directorate, companies in the area and, especially, business associations", said the regional minister. "The Bankia Foundation for Dual Training has actively collaborated in financing some of the projects," he added.

The Dualiza Meetings seek to close the gap between different sectors with the aim of finding ways of working together through Dual Vocational Training. In 2018 alone, Dualiza Bankia and FPempresa held meetings in Las Palmas, Tenerife, Badajoz and Granada. Many of these meetings have provided an introduction to dual training for people who were not familiar with it and have served to carry out joint collaboration projects.
