Instant transfers

Start of main content

Instant transfers are a new type of transfer that has been used in the Spanish market since February 2018.

1. From where

Its main feature is that funds are sent instantly, whether from an office or from remote channels such as Bankia Online or the Bankia App.

2. Amount

This new type of transfer is available to individuals and businesses alike and can be used for transactions of up to 15,000 euros.

3. Date

Immediate transfers coexist with ordinary transfers, which have a maximum credit of D+1, that is, one business day after the order is issued, and do not limit the amount to transfer. It is important to note that this type of transfer cannot be cancelled.

4. Scope

The scope for this new type of transfers is the SEPA area, made up of member countries of the European Union, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Monaco, Norway, San Marino and the Switzerland.

5. Requirements for instant transfers

Immediate transfers must meet certain conditions:

  • The order must be in euros
  • The destination must be any country in the SEPA area
  • The amount must be equal to or less than 15,000 euros
  • The destination entity must be part of the instant payment system

Instant transfers are fraud-proof and work 24/7/365.
