Bankia and UNIR

Bankia and the Fundación UNIR grant STEM Scholarships to 50 women

The purpose of the scholarship line is to promote the training of women in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. The training programs will start in March and April and Spanish female candidates may apply from this Tuesday until 14 February

Bankia, Fundación Caja Segovia and ASFOSO come together to protect and preserve a native pine forest in Aldeasoña (Segovia)

This initiative helps to maintain biodiversity, preserve habitats and wildlife refuges, as well as support rural economic development in the area.

The entity allocated 4.5 million euros to the development of social initiatives in its collaboration with 11 foundations covering a total of ten autonomous communities.

Our activity transforms the environment and transmits the commitment to society in various fields

Bankia benefited 200,000 people through 400 social and environmental projects driven by the original foundations

The entity allocated 4.5 million euros to the development of social initiatives in its collaboration with 11 foundations covering a total of ten autonomous communities.

Bankia and the Fundación Montemadrid allocate 200,000 euros to environmental projects in the Comunidad de Madrid

The selected entities will develop projects related to the conservation of nature and biodiversity, sustainable development and research.

The Eco-Efficiency and Climate Change Plan 2017-2020 sets out the path Bankia must follow in order to contribute to reaching one of the 21st century’s most important targets: carbon neutrality by 2050.

Tackling climate change

Climate change is one of the greatest threats facing society. The present and especially the future of the environment of our planet demands an effort of awareness on everybody’s part.

Enviromental risk managment

Bankia considers that its banking activity has a very limited environmental impact. However, the bank has a very significant indirect influence through the production activities and investment decisions of its customers.
