Bankia and Fudacion Caja Rioja allocate 80,000 euros to the social projects of 25 associations in Rioja

Projects receiving support from Bankia and Fundación Caja Rioja include the ‘Service to promote employment for young people’ run by Pionerios.

Bankia, Fundación Cajamurcia and IMAS donate €40,000 to regional programmes to benefit elderly people

A total of 17 social centres for the elderly in the region of Murcia will receive subsidies under the new agreement.

Bankia and Fundación Ávila contribute 80,000 euros to 23 social projects in the province

The programmes that have been supported will benefit more than 3000 people.

Our activity transforms the environment and transmits the commitment to society in various fields

Bankia donates more than a million euros to 270 NGOs after its employees achieve their objectives

The bank upped its investment in the ‘Red Solidaria’ charitable programme by almost 60%, benefiting 82,500 people in all Spain’s autonomous regions and provinces

Bankia invested €1.7 million in social projects in the Community of Madrid during the first half of the year

The bank is supporting more than 100 non-governmental organisations, accounts for eleven per cent of total investment in social initiatives in Spain.

Eco-eficiency

The Eco-Efficiency and Climate Change Plan 2017-2020 sets out the path Bankia must follow in order to contribute to reaching one of the 21st century’s most important targets: carbon neutrality by 2050.

Tackling climate change

Climate change is one of the greatest threats facing society. The present and especially the future of the environment of our planet demands an effort of awareness on everybody’s part.

Enviromental risk managment

Bankia considers that its banking activity has a very limited environmental impact. However, the bank has a very significant indirect influence through the production activities and investment decisions of its customers.
